We always cut ours into itty-bitty cubes...so good on butter fried potatoes.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;Huh, it just struck me that you like your scrambled eggs all wet and slimy. This one is specifically for pasta because it doesn't have to be spreadable, subtle, or supportive, it's the main act.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;I like the idea of yours, though. That's an interesting take on it; the problem is, when you cook the biscuits IN the stew, it over-starches the broth leaving you with a bit more goo than you'd want. They also don't keep well, ended up with their bottom halves soggy and their top halves stale. Buttered bread would've worked better.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;I used white mushrooms, and I wouldn't necessarily spend too much money on anything more expensive than that - they're spending too much time simmering in broth for their bodies to retain too much flavor of their own.
